Description

Rota is surrounded by 16 kilometres of fine golden, sandy beaches with outstanding urban beaches such asLa Costilla, Rompidillo-Chorrillo and Galeones, all having a splendid seaside promenade and La Ballena beach which is located within the perimetres of the residencial and tourist resort known as Costa Ballena.

Rota also has a number of beaches in idyllic natural surrounding such as Puntalillo, Corrales, Punta Candor,Pegina and Aguadulce. These are delightfully natural, unspoilt settings with the waters of the Atlantic lapping the beaches with stands of pines in the background. Several of Rota´s beaches have been awarded the following distinctions:
