Built in the 16th century, the first facts about its author refer to Diego de Riaño. The only remnants of this initial period are the spatial distribution, the apse and the Gothic-style lateral facade of the epistle wall set in stone.

By the end of the 18th century, several improvements had been made which lead to its current aspect.. The typical Baroque adornments are abandoned to return to more classic lines, the main façade being an example of this.

The new parish church was consecrated on 14 January 1797. From this date onwards, works carried out on the temple are for maintenance and adornment. Decoration is centred on the main façade, where a copy of the Virgen de la Rosa is found. The original, attributed to Pedro de Millán (16th century), was moved inside the temple.

Inside, the main point of interest is the image of Our Lady of the O (18th century), a statue by Manuel García de Santiago carved in polychrome wood and whose iconography refers to the fertility of Mary. Other points of interest: the fascinating iconography, the choir stalls (18th century), fresco paintings (17th and 18th century) or the clock tower (19th century).
