The main attractions of Chipiona are its fine white-sand beaches. Its waters have beneficial effects for the body given their high concentrations of iodine and minerals, and, furthermore, they are ideal for sea fishing and nautical sports.

The municipal area of Chipiona contains 14,600 metres of coastline where its different beaches, each with its own particular environmental conditions, surroundings, location and access, are all of great tourist interest: Playa de Montijo-Niño de Oro, Playa Micaela, Playa Cruz del Mar-Las Canteras, Playa de Regla, Playa de Camarón-La Laguna and Playa de las Tres Piedras-La Laguna.

Most outstanding and in an excellent state of conservation are the old fishing systems, still in use, of the “corrales” fish pens. Their origin is attributed to the Romans and they are located in the intertidal zone, functioning as enormous fish traps as the tide goes out. A fishing method that is totally respectful of the environment.

Also worthy of mention is the Marina-Fishing Port: its modern facilities and the unique design of its wooden moorings make this one of the most prosperous attractions, and with the brightest future, of the town.
