Built in the second half of the 18th century and due to its location on a vantage point overlooking the city, it is one of the town´s most representative buildings and is visible for miles around. Its octagonal floor plan is surrounded by a series of arcades. Inside, the chapel houses the image of St. Anne and the Child Virgin (Santa Ana y la Virgen Niña) by Genoese sculptor Domingo Giscardi (18th century).

The chapel is open to the public every Tuesday and on 26 July, the feast day of St. Anne.
