To speak of Bodegas Argüeso is to speak of Manzanilla de Sanlúcar. Founded in 1822 by D. León de Argüeso y Argüeso with wines and casks sourced from old bodegas, its soleras are estimated to be more than 250 years old.

Amongst the surviving elements are The Sacristy and The Refectory, built in the sixteenth century next to the Santo Domingo convent in the Barrio Bajo and catalogued as sites of Cultural Interest.

Argüeso maintain the craft production system of Sanlúcar in the ageing of manzanilla and sherry, conserving traditions such as the use of manual measuring jugs when working with the casks in the bodega. Francisco Yuste, a Sanlúcar-born entrepreneur and bodegero, purchased Herederos de Argüeso, S.A. in 2016 with the aim of maintaining and adding value to its enormous winemaking heritage, which includes such outstanding brands as Las Medallas, Manzanilla San León, Reserva de Familia and the Amontillado Viejo de Argüeso, produced from the founding soleras.

Its varied wine tourism options are intended for all types of public and all facilities are totally accessible.
