The facilities of Bodegas Forlong are located on an estate named El Olivar de Forlón in El Puerto de Santa María. Alejandro and Rocío took the name and added the letter “g” on the end. By doing this they wished to express that their entrepreneurial initiative was undertaken with the idea of enduring into the future, in other words “for a long time”.

Beside the bodega they have a hectare of land planted with Palomino and Pedro Ximénez grapes, and next to that 2.6 hectares planted with the native variety of Tintilla de Rota. The soil type is Albariza, of the best quality in the region.

Bodegas Forlong employ ecological wine-growing methods certified by the Ecological Agricultural Committee, both the vineyard and posterior production. Biodynamics are not rigorously applied, although some of the peculiar preparations of this curious form of understanding vineyard processes are in use. Only those yeasts native to the region are used.

The Project of Bodegas Forlong is renovating, a breath of fresh air in the atmosphere of the Cádiz vineyards. Their character is reflected in the labels used, all attractive designs with an air of youthfulness so badly lacking in the wine sector.
