PARQUE DE LOS ALCORNOCALES

Description

Locally known as the Montes de Propios, the area covering over 7,000 hectares and located near Jerez de la Frontera, including part of the Alcornocales (meaning Cork Oak) Nature Park.

For many years it has been closed to the public, its use being restricted to cattle ranching and hunting activities.

Recently the area has been opened up for different types of pre-booked activities such as youth camps or for hiking along various trails.

Management and operation of the activities at Montes de Propios is carried out by a municipal entity under the name of Explotaciones de los Montes Propios Empresa Municipal S.A. or Ememsa.
